Help and Support
The consultation began with Attorney, Sam Landis, who immediately began a financial inquiry and proposed three possible resolutions: Installment Arrangement, Offer in Compromise or Bankruptcy filing which would ultimately result in a discharge. The consultation continued by providing information on how the IRS determines a settlement. We found it very professional to actually be speaking with an attorney.

Sam stated that the IRS "wants $5K for every $10K that you have in assets when considering an Offer in Compromise. ConsumerTaxReports.org encourages taxpayers to read the guidelines about the Offer in Compromise formula located on the IRS.gov website.

Sam transferred the call to a staff Paralegal, who explained the program cost and what could be expected while the Offer in Compromise was being processed. The consult ended shortly thereafter.

The Report
While the consultation contained a financial question-and-answer analysis, the attorney gave an unclear tax debt resolution, and the information provided was confusing.

ConsumerTaxReports.org gives Segal, Cohen, and Landis an "A" rating based on their accreditation and rating with the Better Business Bureau, flat fee structure with a flexible payment plan, and having Attorneys on staff; but the confusing consultation prevented ConsumerTaxReports.org from issuing a higher grade.
